Why Scandinavia is more than just the Northern Lights

By now, seeing the Northern Lights is probably on top of everyone’s bucketlist after all the pictures circulating around social media showcasing how beautiful it is to see them in person. The northern parts of Scandinavia offers the best chance for anyone looking to finally see the dancing lights. Places such as Iceland, northern parts of Norway, Sweden, and Finland are visited by tourists про that want to catch a glimpse of this natural phenomenon. The Northern Lights show happens during the colder months, where nights are longer, typically from September until end of March. But the best time to go to Scandinavia is really during the start (around September – October) or towards the end of the Aurora cycle (March). Why? Days on these months are typically longer, you’d probably get around 10-12 hours of Daylight as compared to around 4-5 hours during the winter months (November to February). With that extra 6-7 hours of daylight, you’ll soon realize why Scandinavia is more than just seeing the Northern Lights.
